Phlebotomy Technician
The Phlebotomy program prepares students for employment as a Phlebotomist in a Hospital, Clinical, or Independent Medical Laboratory. A Phlebotomist collects, processes, and distributes laboratory specimens according to established procedures for analysis. Techniques of venipuncture for specimen collection are demonstrated and practiced in the lab to allow the student to perform these skills in a clinical setting with supervision.

This program mainly associates with laboratory demonstrations; this program will train you in the following areas:
Safe and efficient work practices
Legal and ethical responsibilities
Circulation in the human body
Safety and measurements in the laboratory setting
Techniques of specimen collection
Length:
165 clock hours
Approximately 4 weeks Day Program) – full time/8:30am to 2pm/ Monday-Thursday
Approximately 5 weeks (Night Program) – part time/5:30pm to 10pm/ Monday-Thursday
Requirements:
Applicant must be 18 years old or older
A high school diploma or GED certificate
(If you do not have one of the above, you will be require to take the TABE test $25)
Social security card
FL driver license or any valid Florida ID card
$100 registration fee
Deposit/full payment or arrangement for payments
