Patient Care Technician
The Patient Care Technician program will prepare you to provide direct care to individuals in a variety of healthcare environments. You will gain technical expertise to provide effective clinical assistance to patients. You will work alongside doctors and other healthcare professionals to oversee and monitor patients. Your education will combine basic medical knowledge and hands-on skills gathered in the classroom and laboratory.
Hands-on learning includes:
The Patient Care Technician program will provide you with training to perform clinical tasks such as:
Collecting blood ( Phlebotomy)
Performing electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Completing catheterizations
Recording vital signs and patient treatments and much more (Nursing Assistant)
Career Opportunities:
After you have completed the program, you will have the skills necessary to work in the following prevalent healthcare settings:
Hospitals
Outpatient clinics
Rehabilitation centers
Assisted living facilities and much more
Length:
This program is 600 hours
3 months- full time/day classes
4 months-part time/night classes
1 week internship at one of our affiliate healthcare professional providers
Requirements:
Applicant must be 18 years old or older
A high school diploma or GED certificate
(If you do not have one of the above, you will be require to take the TABE test $25)
Social security card
FL Driver License or any valid Florida ID card
$100 Registration Fee
