Medical Assistant
In recent years, the Medical Assistant profession has become indispensable to the healthcare field. Not only have physicians become more reliant on Medical Assistants, but their services are also being requested by Hospitals, Clinics, Nursing Homes, Medical Supply Businesses, Home Health Agencies, Insurance Companies. Medical Assistants have truly become an integral part of the health care team as the demand in their field grows.
They perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

Length:
Day program is six (7) months in the classroom and two (1) months internship at one of our affiliated healthcare professional providers.
Hours are from 8:30am to 2pm Monday - Friday.
Evening program is eight (9) months in the classroom and two (1) months internship at one of our affiliated healthcare professional providers.
Hours are from 6pm to 9:30pm Monday - Friday.
Requirements:
Applicant must be 18 years old or older
A high school diploma or GED Certificate
(If you do not have one of the above, you will be require to take the TABE test $25)
FL driver license or any valid Florida I.D. card Social Security Card
$100 Registration Fee
Deposit/full payment or arrangement for payments
