Is there a fee to
take the TABE entrance test?
Yes. The Scholastic Level Exam fee
is $100.00 (non-refundable).
If I don't score a
minimum of 70% on the TABE Exam will I be able to
retake it?
Yes. There will be a $25.00 fee
each time you take the exam.
Once I'm enrolled,
how long with the training take?
The program is a total of 75
hours. The course may be offered full-time (5.5
hours per day), or part-time (3.5 hours per day) at
the discretion of the instructor.
Will I have hands-on
training?
At Horizon Healthcare Institute,
we think itʼs very important that you practice what
you are learning. Most programs offered require
Horizon Healthcare Institute students to participate
in an externship. An externship is training in the
medical field to gain hands-on clinical experience.
Will Horizon
Healthcare Institute help me to find a job after I
graduate?
Horizon Healthcare Institute
offers career planning assistance to its students
and graduates through the Career Services
Department. Throughout the Horizon Healthcare
Institute program, students participate in
employment preparation activities that cover
job-seeking and job-keeping techniques, such as
identification of individual skills, meeting
employer expectations, interview preparation and
presentation, and the identification of potential
employment opportunities in the medical industry.
